Our fun with fabric project has been running for 6 years and our talented volunteers make a wide range of handmade, upcycled gifts for babies to adults, including quilts, personalised bunting, cushions and play mats. This is a great way to recycle tired fabric and give it a new lease of life.
We’re always looking for donations of fabric such as curtains and bed linen as well as beads, buttons, and trims to use in our drop in sessions. If you have any that you would like to donate, then drop them in or get in touch and we can arrange to collect them.
If you would like to volunteer in our project and learn new skills while socialising with others or If you would like to hire our room to run your own class, then get in touch for further details.
“”I go to fun with fabric as a way to still feel useful even though I can’t do as much as I could before I had to be retired being with FWF restored my confidence with dealing with other people and feeling useful prevented by GP putting me in medication to cope with not being fit to work anymore I can create things without any work pressure“
