Kidzeco is a social enterprise based in West Lothian with shops in both Bathgate and Livingston, as well as a fun-filled community space and café, Kidz n Kin, also based in Livingston. We were born in 2010 and set up for families who want to buy high quality preloved children’s clothes, toys and equipment at an affordable price.
In addition to our shops we also have several projects designed to help you and your little one’s live the happiest, healthiest lives possible. These include Wean The Weanz, Kidz Knasherz, Kitchin Kin, Fivez for Fridayz, and KidzStart.
We also have a wide range of baby and children’s classes, as well as a party space for hire at a reasonable cost.
If you want to find more about what we do just ask our fantastic Kidzeco team who are always happy to help!
To be the number one retailer of quality preloved baby and children’s goods in Scotland.
We reuse, recycle and up-cycle approximately 8 tonnes every month. These are goods that would otherwise have been sent to a landfill. This means that you’re helping to care for the environment when you donate to, or buy from us.
We are a REVOLVE certified re-use store meaning that;
We help fundraise for local groups by donating raffle prizes or providing free use of our community room for fundraising events.
Through our own fundraising initiatives, we have raised money for a number of good causes. Our annual Bumpathon has raised over £12,000 and has supported causes including SCBU (Special Care Baby Unit, St. Johns Hospital), SiMBA, and Team Jak Foundation. Last year we raised over £2000 for Simpsons Special Care Unit.
We have won numerous awards including; Social Enterprise of the Year (West Lothian) and Contribution to the Community (The Centre, Livingston). Our founding director, Tracy, was also Runner Up Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 (SSE London/Lloyds Banking Group) and Runner Up Woman In Business from West Lothian Chamber Awards 2019.
“Amazing place – can’t rate it enough… A real feeling of everyone coming together – lovely community spirit – something thats lacking these days, especially in the big chain stores that only want your money! The staff are lovely and always helpful – long may Kidzeco live on – its just what we needed!”
